But a ·good leader plans to do good [honorable/noble man plans honorable/noble things], and those ·good [honorable; noble] things make him ·a good leader [or stand firm].

— Isaiah 32:8 [EXB]

The honorable man affirmation contains a series of statements and bible verses for the ultimate man, who does not intimidate or look down on others because of his masculinity. A man who is bold, humble, responsible and worthy of respect; a man who trusts in the Lord and obeys Him alone. The honorable man is a leader who fears nothing but the Lord. If you seek to be this man; then this one’s just for you.

This affirmation was adapted from one originally written by Lanre Olusola & TY Bello (bible verses have been added to guide your reading, please be sure to look them up!)

I am a man of honor,

I stand with dignity, a good, firm and noble leader. (Titus 2:7, Isaiah 32:8)

I am not tossed to and from by every wind of doctrine. (Ephesians 4:14)

I obey the Lord and live as He commands. I speak the word of God in season and out of season. (Deuteronomy 8:6, 2 Timothy 4:2-5)

I am handsome, charming, gifted and bold. (Songs of Solomon 1:16, 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 2:20)

I am humble, compassionate, selfless, generous, kind and trustworthy. (Philippians 2:3, James 4:10, Ephesians 4:32, Proverbs 22:9, Zechariah 7:9, Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 19:17, Proverbs 13:17)

I have wisdom, discretion, discernment and understanding. (Proverbs 4:5-7, Proverbs 2:11)

I am a provider, protector, keeper and lover. (1 Timothy 5:8, Song of Solomon 1:16)

I listen to the Lord and excel in all I do; I live my dreams and ambitions purposefully. (Deuteronomy 28:13, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Romans 8:28 )

I am content and satisfied. The Lord is my portion, He is my earthly and eternal inheritance. (Philippians 4:11, Hebrews 13:5, Psalm 47:4)

I flee youthful lusts and pursue purity. (2 Timothy 2:22, Philippians 4:8)

I have power and authority; I am accountable and responsible. (Galatians 6:4-5, Luke 10:19)

I take full responsibility for my actions and their outcomes. (Proverbs 28:13, Ezra 10:4)

I make the right choices, I am ready for a great and rewarding future. (Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 14:12, 2 Timothy 4:8)

I walk uprightly (in righteousness, ethically and morally), speak the truth in my heart and abide in the tabernacle of the Lord. (Psalm 15:1-2)

I walk in faith and sincerely seek to please the Lord. I use my faith to please God, not myself. I exercise my faith in obedience to God’s will – I render service, worship and devotion to God. (Hebrews 11:6)

I put away childish things and walk in spiritual maturity. I consume the meat of the word, in order to learn the deeper mysteries of God. (1 Corinthians 13:11-12, Hebrews 5:12-14, Isaiah 28:9)

I am a man in covenant relationship with God. I choose to love and obey Him, I cling to Him in all I do; this is my life. (Deuteronomy 30:20)

I put away bitterness, malice, wrath, anger and evil speaking. (Ephesians 4:31)

I put on the new man which God created to be in line with righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24)

I press on towards the higher and utmost calling of Christ. (Philippians 3:14-15)

I grow daily unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; a perfect man. (Ephesians 4:13)
