Several people played E.T. in the movie “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”. While the main E.T. was a mechanical puppet created by Carlo Rambaldi, actors also wore the suit in various scenes. Pat Bilon and Matthew DeMeritt, who was born without legs, were the primary actors who physically portrayed E.T.
