Congressional staffer fired after leaked sex tape filmed in Senate hearing room

The 8-second clip was published by the Daily Caller alongside an article penned by Henry Rodgers, who reported that the video was initially shared in a group chat for gay men in politics. The video appears to show a pair of men copulating in Hart 216, the same room where the 9/11 commission hearings were held and former FBI Director James Comey delivered testimony about Donald Trump in 2017, according to Politico.

While the Daily Caller did not identify those involved, conservative outlets named Aidan Maese-Czropski, an aide to Maryland democrat Sen. Ben Cardin, as one of the participants.

In a somewhat cryptic post shared on LinkedIn, Maese-Czropski on Friday acknowledged that while “some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement,” he would “never disrespect [his] workplace.” He did not specifically reference the video.

“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda,” Maese-Czropski said, adding, “Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.”

Cardin’s office initially declined to comment on the video, calling it a “personnel matter.” But on Saturday, it confirmed to Politico that Maese-Czropski “is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate,” adding that it will not comment further on the matter.

According to his LinkedIn, Maese-Czeropski has worked in Cardin’s office since October 2021. He previously worked as a field organizer for the Democratic Party in Virginia and as a climate researcher for the charity Friends of the Earth.

Democrat senator’s staffer reportedly recorded himself having gay sex inside US Capitol building and posted videos online

A Democrat senator’s staffer reportedly recorded himself having homosexual sex inside a room at the U.S. Capitol.

The graphic pornographic video was obtained by the Daily Caller and published Friday after the Spectator reported that an unnamed staffer to Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland was posting the sexually explicit images and videos to social media.

One video appears to be from a conference room in the Hart Senate Office Building, where Cardin’s office is located.

A spokesperson for Cardin’s office did respond to a request for a comment from the Washington Examiner.

Cardin was first elected as a U.S. senator from Maryland in 2007, and prior to that, he served for 20 years in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In 2018, Cardin released a statement firmly supporting LGBTQ rights.

“During Pride month and throughout the year, we embrace the certainty that love is love and you should never have to hide your true self. LGBT individuals are our neighbors, our parents and our children,” read the long statement in part.

“We must be free to love whomever we love, without fear of discrimination or bias,” he added.

A similar story unfolded in the election for a delegate race that would help determine control of the House of Delegates in Virginia. Democrat candidate Susanna Gibson was seen as a strong competitor in the race until it was leaked that she had posted videos of herself committing sexually explicit acts online in exchange for monetary “tips.”

Support for Gibson cratered after the revelation, and she lost the race to a Republican candidate. She later claimed that Republicans had committed a criminal act by circulating the explicit videos in order to damage her political campaign. She said she will run for office again.

Staffer Accused of Filming Sex Tape in Senate Hearing Room Is Out of Job

‘NO LONGER EMPLOYED’

Social media blew up on Friday night after a graphic video was posted of two men, one of whom is allegedly a Senate staffer, having sex on the dais of a Senate hearing room.

A 24-year-old legislative aide who allegedly filmed himself having sex with an unidentified man in the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing room has been ousted from his job with Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD).

“Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate. We will have no further comment on this personnel matter,” a Cardin spokesperson said in a brief statement.

Maese-Czeropski did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Social media blew up on Friday night after right-wing outlet The Daily Caller published a short graphic video of two men engaging in sexual intercourse on the dais of the Senate hearing room floor. The video came just hours after another conservative site reported on the existence of the video, claiming it had been posted to a public Twitter account and “conspicuously and deliberately contain the staffer’s face.”

Following the Daily Caller’s story, the United States Capitol Police announced that they were investigating the matter for any potential criminal violations, stating that “we are aware and looking into this.”

Maese-Czeropski, meanwhile, took to his LinkedIn account on Saturday morning to suggest he was seeking potential legal action. At the same time, he didn’t fully deny that he filmed the amateur sex tape and even admitted to “poor judgement,” instead only outright saying he was not involved in an unrelated incident involving Rep. Max Miller (R-OH).

“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda. While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace,” he wrote. “Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.

Maese-Czeropski added: “As for the accusations regarding Congressman Max Miller, I have never seen the congressman and had no opportunity or cause to yell or confront him.”

Prior to announcing that the Senate staffer had been fired, Cardin’s office said in a statement: “We have seen media reports. As this is a personnel matter and under review, we will not be commenting further at this time.”

Before coming to work for Cardin, where he quickly moved up from staff assistant to foreign policy legislative correspondent to legislative aide, Maese-Czeropski had been a climate and energy fellow with the non-profit group Friends of the Earth and had been a field organizer for the Democratic Party of Virginia. His work for the DNC in Virginia even got him featured in an ad for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

Now, he’s out of a job—and getting mocked online by disgraced former Congressman George Santos, of all people.
